Throughout November and December, Yammer will automatically update the notes stored in Yammer groups into Word Online Documents. This will be done without the user interaction, so the only action required is to publish all the notes to be converted.
But, what will happen after this conversion? Instead of having notes, we’ll have all the notes in the files tabs, the notes will remain in the notes tab, but only in read mode until December 11th, from this date the notes section won’t be available.
It is thought that this will be a smooth transition, because all the followed notes or also notes that are referred in a conversation will be updated during the conversion, so you will be access to it without problem. The only drawback that I think that will cause this conversion, is the loss of version history of notes, so take it into account for your network, and export the data on time to have a copy of all your data.
